Common Questions

How do I restore my Own Orbit Pro purchase? Open any Pro feature (for example, Settings > iCloud Sync, then tap the locked Enable Sync row) to show the Own Orbit Pro screen, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with.

Why can’t I add another list, habit, or Shelf item? Without Pro, Own Orbit allows five lists (the Inbox counts as one), three active habits (archived ones don’t count), and three Shelf items per type (including hidden types). Nothing is ever deleted or locked because of these limits.

My calendar events don’t show. Check Settings > Calendars: Calendar access must be allowed (the row asks again or opens iOS Settings), and each calendar you want to see must be switched on. If only the Today screen is missing events, turn on Events in Today in the same place. Own Orbit only reads calendars that are set up on the device in iOS.

My reminders don’t arrive. Check that notifications are allowed under Settings > General (the Notifications row opens iOS Settings if they are off), and that a Focus mode isn’t silencing them. A task needs a date to have a reminder; all-day tasks fire at the default reminder time (09:00 unless you change it); and completed or skipped tasks get no reminder. Open Own Orbit now and then so it can refresh its schedule — iOS only holds a limited number of upcoming reminders at a time.

A subscribed calendar shows a warning. It could not be downloaded three times in a row. Check that the address still works, then open the calendar’s editor and tap Refresh. Until it works again, Own Orbit keeps showing the last copy it downloaded.

The Habit or Shelf tab is gone. It may be switched off under Settings > General > Features. Turning it back on brings everything back exactly as it was; nothing was deleted.

A widget says “Unlock with Pro” or “Turned off in Settings.” The Today widget is free; the other widgets need Own Orbit Pro. “Turned off in Settings” means its area (Habits or Shelf) is switched off under Settings > General > Features.

My devices aren’t syncing. iCloud Sync needs Own Orbit Pro, an iCloud account signed in on every device, and the Enable Sync toggle on in each device’s Settings > iCloud Sync, followed by a restart of Own Orbit. Check the Status card there. Changes take a moment to arrive; keep Own Orbit open while a big sync finishes.

I’m moving to a new iPhone or iPad. Use Apple’s device transfer or backup to carry your apps and data across, or turn on iCloud Sync (Own Orbit Pro) on both devices. On a freshly installed device that should match your iCloud data, choose Restore Existing iCloud Data when you turn sync on.

I deleted the app. Is my iCloud data gone? No. Deleting the app removes the data on that device only. To remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud Sync and use Delete iCloud Data before deleting the app, or manage it in Apple’s iCloud storage settings.
